The Stigmas Surrounding MMT

It has always been a struggle for me since I HAD TO make the heart-wrenching CHOICE to go back onto MMT in 2015. After a brief.. and I mean BRIEF relapse, I realized I did not have any control over my struggle with addiction. Being sent to prison with an active addiction doesn't automatically heal you, or in any way stop you from being an "addict." It only prevents you from using the drugs and or alcohol for a period of time. They have very few programs for addiction in the prison systems if any. God CAN and WILL absolutely deliver ANYONE from ANY bondage they have in their lives. But, that takes making the conscience choice to allow HIM to do so in one's life. So what about the other's that don't believe in God, or don't have a strong foundation built in Him already to fall back on? What are we supposed to do when we are struggling with our Faith? That is where MMT comes in for a period of time up to the patient. I can only speak from my personal experiences and I always speak honestly. I have found several studies on the subject of Stigmas about methadone maintenance treatment. Below I posted 2 of those studies. My goal by sharing these is to educate and enlighten those who do not already have this knowledge of the Methadone Programs. Again, I speak only for myself in that I have aggressively attacked my treatment plan from day 1 on MMT. Through my journey on MMT I have learned more than I ever expected to on so many different levels. I also understand it is "ideal" that no one would have to go onto another substance to prevent one from using other substances. However, until someone is strong enough not only spiritually, but mentally, MMT is something that should be considered after other recovery options have either failed or not been implemented. My vision for this website and my blogs is to bring people together by creating understanding for each others individual struggles in life. Mental health, Physical Health, and most of all Spiritual health is very important to live a successful life. To find your purpose in who God created you to be is why we are here. Once you discover your purpose nothing can stop you from chasing after that goal. My goal is to live a life well lived in full manifestation of Jesus and the seeing the beauty in who He created all of US to be. To live in Righteousness, Peace and JOY! Seeing Heaven invade earth through our representation of Jesus is the vision I seek for this world. Living lives passionately on FIRE for the Lord. It's time to break down the barriers that keep us from growing into who we were created to be. The hateful stigmas of addictions, mental health issues, political and religious differences and other struggles in general that tear this nation apart. It's time to FIGHT FOR LOVE! <3
